Explore the history of the Cranberry Coast at the Furford Cranberry Museum. Introduced to settlers by local Native Americans, the tasty cranberry is grown and harvested in the colorful bogs of the Southwest Washington coast.
The Cranberry Museum offers a collection of equipment and materials unique to the cranberry industry. Originally founded by Mr. Julius Furford, a local cranberry grower and inventor, the museum contains the original cranberry machine built by Mr. Fuford as well as cranberry boxes, sorters and other equipment used by local cranberry growers in times past. In addation you will find items that they used in their home or in their everyday life. The museum is staffed by volenteers who are very knowledgeable about the items on display.
